The consultation was thoroughly explained, including the legislation behind it and how to access and respond to it. We strongly encourage everyone, whether you are a parent or teacher, to participate in the consultation. It is not necessary to disclose your personal information, such as your name. So, speak up and let your voice be heard!

The guidance affects teachers, pupils and parents and will set the standard for what teachers and pupils can do. It is a significant step forward in protecting freedom of speech and telling schools they do not have to allow children to socially transition. However, the government still needs to be held to account and there are significant areas where the guidance should be improved.
