Baptism of 12 in Northampton

Baptism of 12 in Northampton

Secretary, Northampton International SDA Church

One of the joyous moments in the lives of every church is when a person decides to give their life to Jesus through baptism. On 1st July, 12 young people were baptised at Northampton International Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This joyous occasion followed a series of Bible studies – led by the local elders and Pastor Pardon Chenjerai – in which the candidates learned about the Church's fundamental beliefs. The baptism service saw an impressive turnout, with family, friends, church members and spiritual mentors all in attendance. It was heartening to witness such overwhelming support for the people being baptised, highlighting their impact on those around them.

Giving the sermonette, Pastor McKenzie encouraged the candidates to keep their focus on the Lord as they face challenges after their baptism and that they, too, can be overcomers with Jesus.

Please pray that these young people grow from strength to strength in the Lord. To God be the glory!
