Discover Truth is very thankful for its various volunteers! From those who go out on the streets to those who help with the website, book orders, coordinate the ministry, support the Bible study groups, pray for all the contacts made, lead the teams, advise on administrative issues, and more! They are all sharing their love for Jesus with others, whether in public or behind the scenes. I asked two volunteers to share their experiences as a volunteer.
Shane, an Irishman, is a team member out on the streets in Dublin. Shane shares. "I can only describe it as a joy to volunteer and help carry a message to the public. I experienced a spiritual awakening from the very first time on the street. It requires me to jump out of my comfort zone and put my faith to the test. The fruits of this labour are amazing. One Irish man I met has never forgotten his first encounter with Discover Truth. He is now a member of the Galway Church and willing to be baptised. Diane has been living in Ireland for four years. She uses her talent to help organise various aspects of the Discover Truth work. Diane explains: "I moved to Ireland wanting to be a missionary. The call to serve in Discover Truth has helped that dream to become a reality. Playing a part in helping people receive Bibles and learn more about Jesus is such a blessing, even though I mostly work behind the scenes and on digital platforms. I also love seeing people from different backgrounds work together to serve the Lord. It's a great example of how the body of Christ can function when unified by the Holy Spirit."
These and many other volunteers have made it possible for Discover Truth to make a difference in people searching for the truth as it is in Jesus. You, too, can make a difference in someone's life.
