SEC Pastor Authors New Book on Divorce Care for Men

n his new book entitled, 'Picking Up the Pieces', Paul writes based on his own experience of divorce

Pastor Paul King-Brown is accustomed to providing ministry outside the confines of the church building. Indeed, having played a pivotal role within his local church community amidst the Grenfell disaster, Pastor Paul has now formed a ministry providing support and pastoral care to men during the process and aftermath of divorce.

In his new book entitled, 'Picking Up the Pieces', Paul writes based on his own experience of divorce and shares deep and hard-hitting truths he had to personally address that almost left him in total despair.

Pastor Paul shares the premise for this ministry, "the book was written because I was divorced for 17 years and suffered in silence in most of them. The first ten years were the hardest. There was no group or person on hand to help me."

Pastor Paul not only shares his journey from the lowest depths of life, but also how he discovered a renewed hope and renewal of spiritual strength when confronted with the reality that he was not alone. He writes, "the thing that had the most profound impact was that many other hurting people who were in my situation started to approach me for support and direction. I felt that we were both travelling the journey, but I was one bus stop ahead. I discovered that in focusing on helping others in their pain I was being healed. My ethos was solidified in this quotation, 'The broken become masters at mending.'" (Mike Murdock)

Speaking of his new book Paul said, "although I am happy with the release of this book, the real focus is on my healing ministry called 'Divorce & Infidelity Support Community', where I serve as a coach to those affected by the trauma of divorce."
