The women of the Tottenham West Green Road (TWGR) church were treated to an inspiring, Spirit-filled day of empowerment on 28 February thanks to Elder Jacqueline Otokpa and her team from the South England Conference (SEC) Women's Ministries department.

The day began with a thought-provoking Sabbath School study led by Janice Lendor and continued into a prayer-filled Divine Service with dozens of people coming forward for special prayer. Jacqueline Otokpa delivered a powerful sermon, using her own personal story of triumph to remind women and men alike to hold on to God through all storms.

After a hearty lunch shared by members of the TWGR hospitality team, Elder Otokpa led the women and girls in discussing how to build authentic relationships including open, frank exchange of experiences as well as tools for the coming year. The men held their own workshop, looking at the pressures placed on masculinity and how to stand firm in God's will for them in the future.

"We are very grateful to Jackie and her team for bringing such a wonderful programme to our community. It's given us so much to think about and I know the impact will be felt for a long time," said Carlene Graham, TWGR Women's Ministries leader.
