We are excited about the upcoming Connected Leadership retreat for our Treasurers, Elders and the Diaconate teams, which is being organised by the NEC Treasury and Ministerial Department.
Pastor Fredrick Russell, the former president of the Allegheny West Conference and the immediate past Lead Pastor of the Berean church in Atlanta, Georgia, will be joining us as our main speaker. We will also have various other leaders and trainers joining us from across the British Isles who will be presenting during the weekend.
Pastor Russell has twin passions: pastoring and developing leaders. He ministers around the world to church-based leaders and leaders in corporate, academic, government, and healthcare organisations. His vast years of experience promises this retreat will be something that will bring immense value to all attendees.
As your local church is in the season of electing new leaders for the forthcoming year, 2024 and possibly through to 2025, we are being intentional by bringing together our local church leaders (treasurers, elders and deacons/deaconesses) to this retreat to equip them to succeed in their role. As the theme states, Connected Leadership and by this we have 3 main outcomes that we are focusing on:
- Connecting with God
- Connecting and understanding the eco-system of the church organisation
- Connecting with each other (inward and outward)
As members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it is important to know that each role in the operation of the church, locally and globally, is highly valuable and integral as we bring people to Christ. We are inviting you as a church to be part of this new program in November.
