Les Ackie is the Director of Family, Children’s and Possibilities Ministries at the British Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (BUC) and has worked in pastoral ministry for twenty-nine years. He also serves as the safeguarding lead for the BUC. He graduated from Newbold College in 1995 and pastored various churches in the South England Conference. Prior to taking up his current position in 2016, he served as Director of Family Ministries in the South England Conference for seven years.
Along with his wife, Irma, he graduated as an Adventist Certified Family Life Educator in 2007. They have enjoyed opportunities to present together at home and abroad on marriage, parenting, family, and emotional and relational wellbeing.
Les is an authorised trainer for the pre-marital and marital enrichment tool Prepare Enrich. In 2021, he graduated with a DMin doctorate in Family Ministry from Andrews University.
Les and Irma have been married for twenty-nine years, and they have two children, Maleah (24) and Marlon (18).
