Death of Margaret Clothier

1st November 2018

We were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs Margaret Clothier (née Lowe) on 29 October 2018. Margaret was born in Derby on 31 March 1933. As the daughter of working-class parents and one of three siblings, she grew up in a small house approximately 50 yards from the then Rolls-Royce factory.

Margaret trained as a nursery nurse and married Pastor Derek Clothier on 2 April 1956; they were blessed with a daughter, Natalie. During their 52 years of marriage Margaret and Derek served God and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the British Union Conference and other Fields such as Nigeria and Pakistan.

They eventually settled down during their retirement years in Weston-super-Mare where Margaret peacefully went to sleep. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, caring and humble person as well as a great storyteller.

We now look forward with her family, to Christ's soon return and that glorious resurrection day.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday 8 November at 12.30 pm at Weston-Super-Mare Seventh-day Adventist church, 500 Locking Road, Weston-Super-Mare BS22 8QY, followed by cremation at 1.30 pm at Ebdon Road Crematorium.
