We will be returning to the newly renovated Pontins in Southport. The chalets now include bright, clean and modern new furniture, new laminated flooring throughout, new leather sofas and redecorated from top to bottom.

There is a discounted price up until 31 March 2017. Members can book via the application form or call 08714 7427765 quoting NSDA to get the discount. After 31 March 2017 normal prices will apply. All applications forms need to be sent directly to Pontins Ainsdale House, Shore Road, Ainsdale, Southport, PR8 2PZ. You will be able to make your bookings from Monday 12 December 2016. Please book early to avoid disappointed and keep Camp Meeting in your prayers. We are looking forward to see as many of you attending camp meeting. We will be the sole occupier of the site and have picked a later date to facilitate our young people. If as parents you are planning to take your child or children out of school, we can write a letter to your school boards or head teachers on your behalf requesting permission for your child to attend Camp Meeting. Glen-Samuels
Pastor Glen Samuels - Commitment Speaker

Glen Octavious Samuels was born in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. He received his Bachelor of Theology from West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University), and a Masters in Theology from Andrews University, Michigan. Pastor Samuels currently serves as the President of the West Jamaica Conference. For more than 20 years as District Pastor, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director, Ministerial Fraternity President, Ministerial Secretary and President. He also served as Executive Secretary, Ministerial Secretary and Personal Ministries Director of West Indies Union Conference. He was speaker/director of the national television ministry, “Behold He Cometh” from 1995-2002. Since 2002 he has been speaker of the “Word of Hope” telecast. In December 2010 he was elected Ministerial Secretary, Sabbath School & Personal Ministries Director of the newly formed Jamaica Union Conference. Pastor Samuels has conducted numerous Seminars, Revivals, Lectures, and Evangelistic Series throughout the Americas, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. He was one of the guest speakers at the General Conference World Ministerial Council in Toronto Canada in 2000, as well as a devotional speaker at the General Conference Session in St. Louis, Missouri in 2005. His passion is to see the Church transformed by the Spirit of the Living God, into a vital, vigilant, visible, visionary, vocal instrument for Christ, touching lives, serving as a victorious agent of social, moral and spiritual transformation. He is supported in Ministry by his wife Durcella, a senior teacher of Mathematics at Manchester High School, Mandeville, Jamaica. They are blessed with three beautiful daughters: Gleneika (Faith), Glenadene (Hope), and Glenella (Charity). It is his commitment to spend his life helping others.

 

Dr Bertram-Melbourne
Dr Bertram Melbourne - Bible Study Speaker

Dr. Melbourne is professor of Biblical Language and Literature at Howard University School of Divinity and Pastor, Rockville SDA Church. An experienced educator, he has been Associate Dean and Interim Dean of Howard University School of Divinity and Chair of the Religion Departments at Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) and West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University). He has authored several books, book chapters and articles in journals, magazines and newspapers. Melbourne teaches, lectures and preaches nationally and internationally. He has visited five continents and seventy countries. He is Founder of Collaborate to Educate Our Sons (CEOS), a 501 9c) (3) organization designed to facilitate caring relationships and education for boys and young men. Married to Cavel Melbourne, they have three grown children. Melbourne likes people, loves family and adores God. He wants to live eternally with Jesus. His passion is helping people know Jesus better. "

Pastor Jason Sliger - Youth Speaker

Our youth speaker is Pastor Jason Sliger who currently serves as a church pastor in the Michigan Conference. He was born and raised in Ohio, but spent his teenage years in England. During a mission trip to the Philippines, Jason felt the Lord’s call to ministry, eventually leading to his evangelistic efforts across the United States and his work with Amazing Facts. Today, he enjoys life with his wife Midori, and their three children Evangeline, Christian and Verity.

 

Pastor Johnson
Pastor Damein E. Johnson is a native of Washington, D.C. His roots in the church begin in the historic First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington where he was baptized and later sensed the call to ministry. Pastor Johnson graduated from Columbia Union College (presently Washington Adventist University) in Takoma Park, Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Pastor Johnson has served as youth pastor at the Community Praise Center in Alexandria, Virginia. He later served as the Senior Pastor of the Pennsylvania Avenue SDA Church in Capitol Heights, MD. He is currently the Senior Pastor of the Seabrook SDA Church in Lanham, MD. Pastor Johnson is married to the former Charmaine Donaldson who also grew up in the Washington Metropolitan area. They have three wonderful sons, Andre', Aaron and Aidan. Pastor Johnson counts it a privilege to serve the Lord in the Gospel ministry. He has preached and conducted workshops nationally and internationally. His aim in preaching is to convey, in the clearest terms, the Good News of God’s relentless love for all of humanity and the hope that is found in Christ Jesus.

 

Pastor Johnson
Pastor Ainsworth Keith Morris is a native of the beautiful parish of St. Andrew, Jamaica.  He is the product of Seventh-day Adventist Christian Education and minister of the Gospel for the past 22 years. Pastor Morris has been prepared academically for ministry as a graduate of Northern Caribbean University with degrees in Business Administration and also Religion and Theology.  He is also a graduate of the Theological Seminary at Andrews University with a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree with focus on Urban Ministries. The ministry of Pastor Morris has spanned several territories across the West Indies and North America.  These territories included the East Jamaica Conference, the Ontario Conference the Northeastern Conference and currently the Southeastern California Conference where he serves as the Senior Pastor of the Kansas Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church in Riverside. Pastor Morris has traveled extensively preaching the gospel, training church leaders and participating in Youth development and Outreach activities.  His leadership has influenced several ministry initiatives within the church and community.  He is featured in the recently released book “Preaching with Power 2” by Dr. Clifford Jones. He values highly the social and educational enhancement of the youth and the nurture and stability of the aged. He esteems spiritual professionalism and the merits of hard work knowing that by God’s grace we can achieve the best and beyond.  His personal motto is: When you can’t realize the ideal, idealize the real. His greatest desire is to see those to whom he has preached and ministered in Heaven when Jesus comes because it is his determination to be in the number when the saints go marching in.

 

Other guests serving at camp meeting include Dr Magna Parks-Portafield our health speaker and Pastor Sam Gungaloo who will minister to the teens.

Throughout the week there be a full and packed programme that will combine spiritual and engaging messages with fun activities. We will have football tournaments, basketball, beach games, socials, scavenger hunts, guys/girls nights, workshops on relevant issues and powerful worship and preaching. It will be a high spiritual experience and a great time to connect with young people from all over the NEC.

The focus for this year is to be challenged by the Word. Teens are the spine of our church so we will be investing in you. We aim to have a blend of spiritual and social activities including interactive discussions, prayer and praise, swimming and go-karting and socials just to name a few.
