About Kirk Thomas

Dr. Kirk Thomas was baptised in the Adventist church at the age of 15 years old and at 17 years old he did an evangelistic campaign, which saw 21 people baptised. 

Pastor Thomas went on to further study at the University of Southern Caribbean and graduated in 1994 with a BA degree in Theology and an Associate degree in Public Health.  He also holds a MA in Pastoral Theology from the Inter American Division Theological Seminary.  He graduated August 2015 with the Doctor of Ministry in Family life Education from Andrews University. 

He started his internship 1st June 1994, shortly becoming a district pastor of seventeen Churches.  In 1997 he was called to work in the Guyana Conference Office as Director of Personal Ministries, Sabbath School, Community Ministries and Prayer Ministries as well as pastoring a large Church in the City of Georgetown Guyana.  During his tenure from 1997 – 2007 and through organising of lay evangelism he saw over 2500 souls per year give their commitment to Jesus Christ through baptism.  His personal ministry thus far has led over 5000 people to make the decision to follow Jesus.

In November 2007 Pastor Thomas accepted the call to the UK to become the district pastor of the Willesden Seventh-day Adventist Church.  During his tenure from 2007 – 2011 over 175 persons were baptised. 

At the South England Conference Session in 2011 he was elected to be the Personal Ministries and Sabbath School Director. At the 2015 session, Dr. Thomas was returned to continue the great work of motivating and training both the laity and clergy in their task of sharing the Gospel. 

On the 1st September 2017 Pastor Kirk Thomas was appointed by the British Union Conference executive committee to be the Evangelism/Personal Ministries/Church Growth/Missions and Sabbath School Director of the British Union Conference. He is married to Carol and they have four children Fonah, Tivonah, Daniel and Kassanah.

His personal philosophy is “Jesus Christ did so much for me; I cannot help but give my all to him.”
